[Question] How is the Setup.app patched
#1
Question
Hi all, can anyone please tell me how is the Setup.app patched. I mean, which parts (methods) of assembly code need to be updated within a disassembler (Hopper/IDA).
Also, I'm wondering if there is a way how to disable https pinning within the Setup.app so it would be possible to see network traffic.

A simple patch would be bounding the XREF of of the "iPhone Activation Lock" to be rebranched to a new page for example to TouchID configuration.
Make a JMP function and JMP it to the address of that. AMFI will catch that and will stop the app making you to go to SpringBoard.

There are of course other methods. I use them randomly.

Thanks for the reply. Do you have any video showing any of these patches please?
